This West End Victorian was restored from its original condemned condition with energy efficiency and clean finishes in mind. The original house was restored down to the studs, with a full basement underneath and a contemporary addition on the back.
Many changes were presented and approved through the Historic Preservation Commission process, including carefully removing all siding to make the exterior walls a one-hour-rated assembly and becoming the first historic house with synthetic cedar shake roofing.
This all-electric house is certified as LEED Silver.
